Shuhe Ancient Town is one of the three ancient towns of Lijiang. Different from the Dayan Ancient Town, Shuhe features more natural and peaceful elements. There are excellent views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the town due to its proximate distance. The water supply in the town is spring water coming from the snow mountain. In addition, Shuhe Ancient Town used to be an important hub on the old Tea-Horse Road. This historic town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 for its multi-ethnic charm, historical milieu and architectural landscape. Sleepy Inn Lijiang was converted from a Naxi minority family’s house and garden. All the buildings reflect the rich fabric of the locale through their design and furnishings. Two main guestroom buildings include 17 comfortable guestrooms all with modernized bathrooms. A two-level house is situated in the back garden and serves as a multi-functional lounge. Sleepy Inn Lijiang has the only swimming pool with water coming from the snow mountain. The front yard is traditional Naxi style designed and a terrace located in the front yard has excellent views of the river and trees besides the house.    Do you want to start a day from a well-prepared breakfast and a cup of tasty coffee? It is not easy to find them in the other properties but our staff will get them ready before you wake up. For the whole day, snacks and casual foods are always available whenever you are hungry. There are many things you can experience within the property - relaxing yourself besides the swimming pool, enjoying sunshine and fresh air in the garden, reading books or drinking a cup of tea on the terrace, or just doing nothing with a laid-back way of living, etc. In addition, Sleepy Inn Lijiang features a range of organized and do-it-yourself activities. You can take a bicycle to tour the surrounding villages and farms along the way to Jade Dragon Ancient Town. You can hike through Jade Dragon Snow Mountain or the Tiger Jumping Gorge of Jinshajiang River. You can ride a horse in the flowered alpine pasture. Don’t want to go far?
